Henry L. Schmidt died Nov. 14, 2006, of a heart attack at age 90.
Mr. Schmidt was born Feb. 17, 1916, in Tigard. He graduated from Tigard High School. During World War II, he served in the Army. He worked for Peerless Trailer and was also a farmer. In 2002, he was featured on "Homestead Holdouts," a show that aired on Homes & Gardens Television. He married Betty Neth in 1948; she died in 1962.
Survivors include his son, Henry; and three grandchildren.
